How to arrive fresh and relaxed to work

Monday morning. Early rush and head ache. Both you and your spouse are working and you have to prepare your children going to school. Not yet at work and you are already haggard and stressed not to mention that you’ll probably experience a long queue in the train station or will be under heavy traffic condition upon hitting the road and running late for work.

How can you be able to cope up and overcome this morning rush but arriving relaxed and fresh to work?

Here are some tips to help you achieve this:

1. Put your keys (house, car or office keys) in permanent location every night so you will know where to get them every morning. It is also advisable to include your watch jewelries (if any) or other accessories needed for the next day.

2. Plan and arrange your clothes to wear the night before. Most people tend to spend about 10 minutes staring and choosing several clothes before ending up with the right combination.

3. Take a bath before going to bed. This gives you 2 advantages: First, it will give you a better sleep and second, taking a quick shower in the morning will just be for waking up your body and not because you need to get cleaned.

4. Prepare the breakfast right after dinner. Tell your helper what you want for breakfast and prepare the table in advance if possible.

5. Set a schedule in the bathroom as to who comes in first. This will save and maximize your time well and will ensure smooth flow around the house.

6. Wash your car every other day depending on the situation. You may also do this while waiting for your turn in number 5. Don't do the detailing. Have this procedure done during weekends.

7. Alarm clock will save the day. Nowadays, mobile phones can do wonders for you. Make sure to have your phone fully charged before sleeping. You may charge the battery while having dinner. Have a back up like the conventional alarm clock preferably the battery operated so that it will not reset in case of power failure.

8. Plan your route whether using a public transport or driving your own ride. Keep a map and make sure it is updated. This will give you better edge should you need to have a alternate route.

9. Have your clock inside the house or car with allowance. Ours is 20 minutes in advance giving us more time should there be any challenges on the road.

10. Hear the news than read the news. It is practical to TURN ON your radio than reading newspaper. You can listen while driving. Reading the paper can wait till lunch time or if you have the luxury in the morning.

With these tips, I can guarantee that you will save time, drive smoothly and arrive at work fresh and relaxed.

Have a great morning!
